PANAMA CITY, Panama - The Global Ranger Challenge has arrived in Panama, seeking bold drivers who are willing to challenge the all-new Ford Ranger, exposing it to tough and challenging obstacles -- real tests with real people.
During its development, the all-new Ford Ranger recorded more than a million kilometers in tests under the toughest conditions for trucks throughout the world. Now, Ford is inviting Panama to test this world-class truck through the Ranger Challenge.
Residents of Panama who are 18 or older and hold a valid driver’s license are eligible to participate. All those proposing the boldest and most daring new challenges are encouraged to send a video, photo or essay explaining the kind of challenge they want to subject the all-new Ranger to.
Recruiting runs through June 10. The three selected as finalists will record their challenges on video, with the winner to be selected through online voting. A winner will be announced in early August.
Whoever demonstrates their best driving skills behind the wheel of the all-new Ford Ranger, skills that allow challenging, different and adventurous tests, could receive an all-new 2012 Ford Ranger.
Waldo Galan, regional director, Ford International Business Development, said, "Real tests by real people. Ford is so sure of the high quality of its products that through the Ranger Challenge it is encouraging clients to challenge the all-new Ford Ranger first hand, and to conduct their own challenge. We are confident they will undoubtedly Go Further, as our motto says, with the all-new Ford Ranger.”
Galan joined other members of Ford’s leadership team, along with Ford dealers in Panama -Distribuidora Ford David and Ford Cincuentenario to announce the program. He noted that “All around the world, our customers are taking their trucks to task, pushing them to deliver for them every day. Whether they are a courier on the road, a policeman on the beat or a miner 100 feet below the surface, they rely on their truck to perform. We want our customers and consumers to nominate their most challenging task to prove that the all-new Ford Ranger has the capability to deliver for them.”
