COLOGNE, Germany – Ford Ka been named most reliable car in its class by Germany’s largest automobile club, the ADAC.
Ford’s smallest European model saw off all competitors to claim top ranking in the micro city car category. ADAC’s latest reliability ratings are based on roadside repair statistics.
Earlier this year, Ford KA ranked highest in the city car category of the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Germany Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study (VOSS).
Ka achieved a satisfaction rating of 78.9 percent, or 789 on the VOSS index, across categories for quality and reliability, appeal, service satisfaction and ownership costs.
J.D. Power VOSS surveyed more than 14,000 German drivers who had registered cars in Germany between January 2009 and December 2010. A total of 25 manufacturers and 89 models were rated.
Ka is available with a choice of economical engines: 69PS 1.2-litre Duratec petrol delivers 115g/km CO2 emissions; 75PS 1.3-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel delivers 109g/km CO2 emissions. Both are equipped with a five-speed manual transmission and Auto-Start-Stop.
