ROMANIA – Ford has been named as one of Romania’s top brands for the effective use of social media channels.
The accolade comes from Biz Magazine, which for the past five years has selected the brands which have had the biggest impact in social media. Some 50 brands were considered for the Top Social Brands 2013 review, with Ford named as one of the top ten.
In its latest annual review, the magazine considered brand activities across a wide range of social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+. It also looked at events dedicated to the blogger community and an extensive range of other activities, from customer care to recruitment, conducted by the brands via social media.
Vodafone maintained its top position in the classification, followed by Samsung, Danone, Avon, Pepsi, Heineken, Cosmote, Coca-Cola, Ford and Orange.
Among new brands considered for the first time in the period February 2012 to February 2013 were Coca-Cola, KFC and Skoda.
The results of the 2013 review were widely reported in the social media.
