JAKARTA, Indonesia — Ford Motor Indonesia has added some new brand ambassadors to its arsenal – with employees and their families recently gathering at the Bogor Botanical Gardens to experience the soon-to-be-launched all-new Ford Ranger.
At the vast and lush garden located 60 km south of Jakarta, the group of more than 120 participants had the opportunity to put Ford’s all-new global compact pickup truck for a spin around the garden.
Following a morning exercise for warm up, the participants received a briefing on safe driving and product presentation on the many advanced features available on the all-new Ford Ranger.
Each employee was then given the opportunity to take the all-new Ranger for a test drive with their family along to experience the pickup truck’s unparalleled handling and comfort, and advanced features that include the Bluetooth with Voice Control system.
Several posts were located along the track to provide guidance for direction and help for any technical issues.
Bagus Susanto, managing director, FMI, opened the day where everyone was excited to get acquainted with the ‘Built Ford Tough’ truck.
"This event serves as an opportunity for us not only to get to know each other better, but also to get to know our products better, specifically the all-new Ford Ranger," he said.
The Ford employees were absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to personally test the all-new Ranger, and thoroughly impressed after doing so.
“As soon as I got inside the all-new Ford Ranger, I could feel the difference. The leather-covered seats, advanced communications system, automatic transmission, and the rest of the convenient features create a comfort zone that you will not find in any other pickup truck. Even my wife loves it,” said Hari Arifianto, marketing communications and advertising promotion, FMI. “Ford has truly built a winner.”
The event also included a group photo contest, in which each group posed with the all-new Ford Ranger and posted their photos on Facebook. Group that got the most votes received gift vouchers.
"All members of the Ford family are our brand ambassadors," said Gumgum Prijadi, general marketing manager, FMI, who coordinated the weekend gathering. "By experiencing the pickup truck themselves, all of our colleagues will become better and even more informed spokespersons for the all-new Ranger."
