JAKARTA, Indonesia – On April 25, Ford Indonesia employees and business partners began their day bright and early, as they prepared themselves to become certified Brand Ambassadors for the all-new Ford EcoSport as they drive it around town.
“It is important to educate and let the team be the first to experience the EcoSport, because only through experience will they be able to spread the word to family and friends, and that will have a more positive impact on the business as a whole” said Bagus Susanto, managing director, Ford Indonesia.
The drive began with a presentation about the all-new EcoSport, explaining its contemporary design, smart technologies and high driving position, which make this vehicle a smart SUV that is perfectly suited to the urban lifestyle.
After the presentation, the Ford Brand Ambassadors were eager to finally get behind the wheel of the all-new EcoSport. They were divided into 17 vehicles, which included the EcoSport Titanium AT and Trend AT. The drive took them to Mount Pancar in West Java highlighting the versatility and capability of the vehicle through highways, winding roads, and narrow roads, both in town and out of town, all with ease and comfort.
Nanang Wahyudin, marketing event coordinator, Ford Indonesia, said that though the route to Mount Pancar was on high ground through small streets, which made the drive a little difficult, this is where the Ford Brand Ambassadors experienced the true compactness of the vehicle. Despite the fact that the streets were so narrow and the drive was uphill, the drivers said they felt confident because with the 200 mm ground clearance from the all-new EcoSport, they had a greater view of the road. The Hill Launch Assist also made the drivers even more confident driving.
A series of fun games were played during the drive to demonstrate all the special features of the vehicle. For example, participants were told to make a call to a designated Webex number using SNYC technology. “It was fun, all the vehicles were connected and there was definitely a friendly competition among us to answer the questions given!” said Reti Oktania, HR Associate, Ford Indonesia.
At Mount Pancar, Ford Indonesia Employees and agency partners continued to be involved in a series of team building activities that highlighted features on the EcoSport. For instance, spacious interior storage area came in handy when participants needed to put together a washing machine puzzle to fit in the vehicle. “I can’t believe the how much space there is in the vehicle! I have a baby so this will help us a lot when we go out of town!” said Oktania.
At the end of the day, the drive wrapped up with awards given to the winners of the various games played throughout the day.
