JAKARTA, Indonesia — Segment-leading vehicles introduced in Indonesia through the One Ford plan continue to gain recognition among influential sources - the proof point coming at the 2013 Otomotif Awards, where Ford took home five awards between the all-new Focus and all-new Ranger.
The Otomotif Awards are among the most prestigious annual automotive awards in Indonesia’s automotive industry.
The all-new Focus captured all four awards for which it was nominated, including Best of the Best Sedan, Best of the Best Hatchback, Best Medium Sedan, and Best of High-End Hatchback, with the all-new Ranger recognized as the Best Double-Cabin among pickup trucks.
Organized by Kompas Gramedia, one of the leading media groups in Indonesia, the Otomotif Awards aim to recognise not only automotive products, but also parties related to the automotive industry, including automakers, communities, and event organizers.
"We hope the Otomotif Award can be a positive encouragement to further motivate the automotive industry to introduce products that are fully appreciated by the public," said Billy Riestianto, editor-in-chief, Otomotif Magazine, in his keynote address.
"We’re extremely proud that the success of our One Ford plan in transforming our business in Indonesia continues to be recognized by the most respected voices in the auto industry," said Bagus Susanto, managing director, Ford Motor Indonesia. "We will celebrate these awards with all of our colleagues and dealers who have put great effort in implementing our One Ford plan. Thank you!"
