DEARBORN - Earlier this week, Ford Project Design Engineer Sharon Fredrick became the lucky winner of the @Ford Online lottery to win hot laps at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in a Ford Tremor with Ford Racing’s Brad Keselowski. Below is the report she shared on her experience at the track.
“As I climbed into the cab of the intimidating 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor sport truck for my hot laps with Brad Keselowski on Wednesday at Michigan International Speedway, Brad asked me how fast I wanted to go.
With my response, ‘As fast as you can,’ we were off on the combined road and high-banked oval course at MIS.
We were doing more than 50 mph when we left the flat road course for the high-banked oval, and were going more than 100 mph when Brad down-shifted using the six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and braked hard to make the left-hander back onto the road course.
The truck performed flawlessly. What a driver; what a truck!”
