NEW DELHI, India – After bowling over auto enthusiasts and customers alike with its robust drive dynamics and exemplary performance, the all-new Ford EcoSport’s consistent climb up the popularity charts has continued with 16 award recognitions.
The all-new EcoSport started the award season by securing six top prizes at the highly respected Bloomberg TV Autocar Awards 2014. The stylish and dynamic urban SUV took the top honour, Car of the Year, as well as SUV of the Year, Best Value for Money, the Viewer's Choice Award, Engine of the Year for the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, and the Technology & Innovation Award for SYNC with Emergency Assist.

Most recently, the all-new EcoSport stole the limelight at the NDTV Car & Bike Awards 2014, where it was honoured with four coveted wins, including Sub-Compact SUV of the Year, Automotive Technology of the Year for the EcoBoost engine, Viewers’ Choice Car of the Year, and Best PR and Communication team of the year.
The NDTV Car & Bike Awards, sponsored by NDTV, a pioneer of television news in India, were established to recognise excellence across the Indian automobile industry. This year, the jury consisted of automotive expert Adil Jal Darukhanawala, motorsport racer Aditya Patel, DC Design Founder Dilip Chhabria, AutoX Managing Editor Dhruv Behl, Formula One driver Karun Chandhok, well-known actor and social activist Gul Panag, and NDTV Auto Editor Siddharth Vinayak Patankar.
In December, leading English daily DNA bestowed the EcoSport with two top honours – Car of the Year 2013 and Compact SUV of the Year 2013 – for its class-leading design, features and technology. The EcoSport has also won the Team BHP Car of the Year, Motorbeam SUV of the Year, and Motor Vikatan SUV of the Year.
At the North East Consumer Awards 2014, which recognize contributions made by companies in developing India’s northeast and are sponsored by leading Hindi Daily Dainik Purvoday, the all-new EcoSport took another prize with the Most Preferred Car of the Year award.
The all-new Ford EcoSport has attracted more than awards, with record bookings across India since its launch, and more international attention as the Chennai-built urban SUV is exported to 10 international markets.
