SHANGHAI, China - On April 3 at the Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel in Shanghai, Universum, a global leader in employer branding, announced that Ford Motor Company was one of China’s Top 100 IDEAL Employers of 2014. The company was recognized as the 43rd most attractive employer by university students who majored in engineering; this was an 11 position improvement from the previous year.
Universum surveys 600,000 students and professionals to provide Ideal Employer™ research, and strategic consulting services to more than 1,200 clients worldwide. This year’s results were determined by an annual survey, which has been held in China since 2006. Over 51,000 university students from 103 top universities across the country participated. The student survey, which took place between October 2013 and January 2014, was organized by 21st Century English Newspaper and facilitated by Universum.
The awards ceremony was attended by almost 200 guests, including university students, teachers and representatives from 110 different companies, as well as media. Kamali Rajesh, director, Recruiting, Learning & Organization Development, Ford Asia Pacific, attended the ceremony on behalf of Ford, together with representatives from the HRBO team and the Graduate Program & EVP team.
