Rolls-Royce Holdings plc. announced the appointment of Lewis Booth, Ford executive vice president and chief financial officer, as a non-executive Director and Chair of Rolls-Royce’s Audit Committee. The following is attributable to Alan Mulally, Ford president and CEO:

ROLLS-ROYCE PRESS RELEASE: Rolls-Royce Appoints Lewis Booth as a Non-Executive Director
Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, today announces the appointment of Lewis Booth as a non-executive Director. He will also join the Audit, Ethics and Nominations Committees today. Lewis will become Chair of the Audit Committee with effect from 31 July 2011, a role most recently undertaken on a temporary basis by Ian Strachan.   Lewis Booth is executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ford Motor Company.

In appointing Mr. Booth, Sir Simon Robertson, Rolls-Royce Chairman, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Lewis Booth as a non-executive Director of Rolls-Royce. Lewis is recognised as one of the strongest and most experienced international leaders within the auto industry. He will bring to our Board a wealth of experience of international finance and business gleaned from many years in Ford.”

Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13(1) (details of directorships held in publicly-quoted companies in the previous five years), Lewis Booth was a director and vice chairman from September 2003 to December 2008 of Ford Otosan (Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.S.), a company registered in Turkey and listed on the Istanbul stock exchange.

There are no other details to disclose under paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules in relation to Lewis Booth.
