PARIS, France – Ford’s ground-breaking B-MAX has added L’Automobile Magazine’s “Innovation Trophy” to its burgeoning collection of press awards.
The award was presented to Ford France Chairman Jean-Luc Gérard at the 34th L’Automobile Magazine Trophies ceremony.
“Despite being widely known, Ford has not always been recognized as an innovative brand, particularly in France,” Gérard said. “With the B-MAX and its sliding doors, we are showing that we not only have a very innovative development strategy, but that we don’t pursue it to the detriment of safety. The B-MAX earned five stars in the most recent Euro NCAP crash tests.”
He added: “On the whole, it is coherent, spacious and innovative. We are very proud to receive this trophy and see our efforts recognized by the media until they are by the majority.”
L’Automobile Magazine recently compared B-MAX to Citroen C3 Picasso. The winner? “The Ford B-MAX isn’t as spacious as the Citroen C3 Picasso, but with its magical doors, enjoyable handling and reasonable price, it wins the day.”
