BRENTWOOD, UK – All-new Ford B-MAX has kicked off 2013 by scooping two prestigious press awards.
Ford’s compact multi-activity vehicle has been crowned “Family Car of the Year 2013” by Spanish publication Car and Driver.
It has also been named “Best Family Car” by the UK’s Daily Express newspaper, which reports: “B-MAX with its sliding rear doors and missing centre pillar makes access to the cabin incredibly easy. Throw in a decent driving experience and a good level of standard equipment including a DAB digital radio and it shames the likes of the Vauxhall Meriva and other junior people-carriers.”
Meanwhile, B-MAX has been named as a finalist for the European Car of the Year. Other finalists are the Hyundai i30, Mercedes A-class, Peugeot 208, Renault Clio, Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT-86 (as one candidate), VW Golf and Volvo V40.
The COTY winner will be announced on March 4 at the Geneva Show. 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of COTY.
