Ford Announces Senior Leadership Team Changes

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

Today, we are making announcements related to our leadership team and issuing this news release, click here to read.

First, Tony Brown, group vice president, Global Purchasing, has decided to retire after a 36-year career. Tony is a world-class leader. During his 11 years as our leader for Global Purchasing, he made tremendous improvements in our working together relationships with our supplier partners. Tony enthusiastically supported the One Ford plan, most notably through the creation of the Aligned Business Framework, which helps us work better with suppliers to match production to demand, speed product development and collaborate more closely. We thank Tony for his service and wish him a long and happy retirement!

Hau Thai-Tang will succeed Tony as group vice president, Global Purchasing. Hau knows the importance of working together as one team from his time leading our global engineering and product development around the world. He will apply that same One Ford spirit as our new leader for Global Purchasing.

In line with these changes, Birgit Behrendt is being named our vice president, Global Programs & Purchasing Operations. She will be responsible for global operational purchasing and working with our suppliers to integrate them more deeply into our global product development system.

Burt Jordan also is named our vice president, Global Vehicle and Powertrain Purchasing & Supplier Diversity, with responsibility for all of our commodity-related purchasing and supplier sourcing globally.

Kumar Galhotra will succeed Hau as vice president, Engineering, responsible for overseeing global engineering for the development of all Ford and Lincoln vehicles.

Finally, succeeding Kumar as our vice president, Product Development, Asia Pacific, is Trevor Worthington.

These are important leadership changes. Clearly, by working together with these new leaders and our entire team, we will continue to make progress delivering our One Ford plan, which remains unchanged:

• Aggressively restructure to operate profitably at the current demand and changing model mix
• Accelerate the development of new products that customers want and value
• Finance the plan and improve the balance sheet
• Work together effectively as one team, leveraging Ford’s global assets

Please join in congratulating Tony, Hau, Birgit, Burt, Kumar and Trevor!

One Team. One Plan. One Goal. One Ford.

Alan
