AMSTERDAM, Netherlands – AutoWeek, the leading Dutch car publication, has presented its annual Innovation Awards. Ford was the main winner, receiving the overall award, a category award and two nominations.
According to AutoWeek's editorial team, the combination of excellent driving characteristics, price-performance ratio and safety features helped make the new Focus the most outstanding car of the past year.
In addition to the overall Innovaton Award, the Focus also won the ‘Safety’ award for its array of advanced safety features and was nominated in the Driving Dynamics category. The Grand C-MAX was nominated in the User Friendly category for its walk-through seating concept.
The innovation award winners were chosen by AutoWeek’s editorial team from the new models driven over the past year.
Gerard Bolder, managing director, Ford Nederlands received the highly acclaimed awards at a recent presentation ceremony. “The Ford Focus is the most advanced car in the C-segment,” he said. “Ford is making advanced technology accessible to a wide public. Technology that is of real use to our customers and that takes safety, sustainability and comfort to new heights.
