COLOGNE, Germany - The reliability and longevity of Ford vehicles has been confirmed by the latest used vehicle report issued by the German testing and certification authority, DEKRA.
Three Ford models achieved best-in-class ratings:
- Fiesta repeated its success from a year earlier, topping the small car category (mileage category 0 to 50,000km) with a Dekra Index of 95.3 per cent
- Kuga topped the SUV/Offroad category, gaining 94.7 per cent (mileage category 0 to 50,000km)
- S-MAX and Galaxy won the vans category (mileage category 100,001 to 150,000km)
“This is a strong and encouraging result,” said Wolfgang Booms, managing director, Marketing and Sales, Ford of Germany. “It mirrors our continuous development and investment in the fields of material, manufacturing and product excellence, and it shows that our quality pledge not only applies to our new vehicles but also to our used models and those with a high mileage. We will continue to work hard so as to repeat these excellent results next year.”
Dekra’s used car report is a guideline for used car customers and is based on data gathered from more than 15 million general vehicle inspections carried out by the organisation in Germany over the last two years. Ratings were given in eight vehicle and three mileage categories (0 to 50,000km; 50,001 to 100,000km; and 100,001 to 150,000km).
