PARIS, France – Ford Fiesta ST has been crowned Sports Car of the Year by Echappement magazine in France.
Fiesta ST beat nine competitors to the title and is the sixth Ford model to win Echappement Magazine’s prestigious award.
Echappement put all 10 vehicles through their paces at the Circuit de Chambley and on public roads the race track. Fiesta ST was a clear winner ahead of VW Polo R WR, Mini WRC GP2, Peugeot 208 Gti, Renault Clio RS 200 EDC, Seat Ibiza Cupra, Porsche Cayman S, Nissan 370Z Nismo, Audi S3 and Mercedes A45 AMG.

“The Fiesta ST is the modern incarnation of the small sport accessible and versatile sports car. This title showcases the talents of our engineers and will also be much appreciated by our clients.”
Elsewhere, readers of Germany’s Auto Bild Sportscars have voted the Ford Fiesta ST as the Sports Car of the Year in the subcompact car category. Ford of Germany’s head of sales and marketing, Wolfgang Booms, attended the ceremony to accept the award.
