 Fiesta Fans Show Their Passion in Love Fiesta, Snap It Now Campaign

JAKARTA, Indonesia  The feisty Ford Fiesta has continued to grow in popularity since its introduction last year, with demand for the hot hatch helping maintain Ford’s position as the fastest growing major auto brand in Indonesia. That passion is also spreading rapidly in the online world, with Ford Fiesta Indonesia's Facebook page attracting new fans in the tens of thousands.

To capitalise on its surging popularity and to further spread awareness of the Fiesta, Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) launched a photo contest on July 22 at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2011. The exciting and unprecedented Love Fiesta, Snap It Now (LFSIN) campaign was designed to encourage Fiesta fans to actively interact and engage with their comrades across the archipelago at Ford Fiesta Indonesia's Facebook page.

 "As the fan base continues to grow, we want to provide them with a means to express their love for the Fiesta. The Love Fiesta, Snap It Now contest delivers this by enabling the fans to share Fiesta photos online and give comment on them," said Eka Sukmansyah, Marketing Communication and Services, FMI.

Fiesta fans who participated had to become a member of Ford Fiesta Indonesia's Facebook page before submitting their photos in the contest. Many amazing prizes, including weekly surprise prizes, monthly prizes, and grand prizes were provided, with winners determined based on the highest votes casted by other Fiesta fans, and then screened by a panel of judges.

Throughout the contest, 19,672 Fiesta fans participated and 651 entries were submitted. Incredibly, around 30,000 new Fiesta fans were registered by the time the contest ended in November. Ford Fiesta Indonesia's page now has more than 84,000 fans.

The grand prizes were divided into two categories – Highest Votes and Best Picture. The winners each received a svelte MacBook Air.

"I found a Fiesta at a parking lot, but the sun had already set. Luckily, the Fiesta still looks charming, even in twilight," said Kurniawan, who won the Highest Votes, praising the Fiesta.

Yos Kusuma, expressed a similar opinion, "The photo was taken when we were hanging out at Sentul highland. My Fiesta is really fun to drive. It looks cool for youngsters like us."
