DEARBORN - The Ford F-Series, the best-selling U.S. vehicle for 30 years in-a-row and the best-selling truck for 35 years in-a-row, celebrated its 64th birthday on Monday. The F-Series was introduced on Jan. 16, 1948 as the “Bonus Built” trucks. The first series of trucks were identified as F-1 through F-8, until 1953 when the F-100 replaced the F-1. F-Series has gone on to sell more than 30 million units in its 64-year history.
