Denmark - Ford Export and Growth (E&G) is growing its fleet operations and expanding into some of the most remote corners of the world. Fleet/military sales were up 25 percent through August, and while that’s a testament to the popularity and competitiveness of Ford vehicles, suppliers such as Kjaer & Kjaer also play a key role, one reason E&G wanted to commemorate a milestone anniversary.
Vehicles sold for use in fleet/military operations often require modifications for specialty use, such as ambulances, or reinforced suspensions so they can be driven over particularly rough terrain.
To accomplish this, E&G relies on Kjaer & Kjaer, which supplies Ford vehicles to the international aid and development sector, and other partners.
In addition to modifying vehicles, Kjaer & Kjaer advises aid agencies, international companies, organizations and expatriates on a range of services, including after-sales support, insurance and fleet management systems.
A Ford supplier since 2004, Kjaer & Kjaer has experienced steadily increasing sales over the past nine years, selling more than 5,300 Ford vehicles since the partnership began. It’s on pace to sell nearly 1,500 vehicles this year – almost double the number sold just two years ago. Its customer list has grown, and now exceeds 100 businesses or organizations.
Kjaer & Kjaer is celebrating its 50th anniversary by donating an all-new Ford Ranger to a humanitarian, nonprofit project in Africa, a move that caught the eye of E&G Director Hal Feder, who traveled to Denmark recently to help commemorate the anniversary. “The all-new Ranger is a best-in-class vehicle and one which, with Kjaer and Kjaer’s help, will become a familiar workhorse in the international Aid & Development sector,” Feder said. “We are very happy you have chosen to donate a Ford Ranger as one of the initiatives marking your 50-year anniversary.”
The Ranger is at the core of Kjaer & Kjaer’s product lineup, and the company is holding a number of launch events in Ethiopia, Kenya, Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of the Congo as part of its anniversary celebrations.
Kjaer & Kjaer’s product lineup also includes the Ford Everest, Explorer, Fiesta, Focus and Transit.
