Diversity and Inclusion Summit Nominee of the Week: Dan Duderstadt Strengthening External Partnerships

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

DEARBORN - The Diversity and Inclusion Summit recognizes teams and individuals who Go Further to bring diversity and inclusion as well as the One Ford commitment to life.  This week, we introduce you to one of the many terrific individuals who have been nominated for the 2012 Diversity and Inclusion Award.

CATEGORY:  STRENGTHENING EXTERNAL PARTNERSHIPS

INDIVIDUAL:  Dan Duderstadt

Dan Duderstadt has worked unselfishly over the past five years to create and build a veterans network at Ford Motor Company. He has worked closely with Mike Bannister, executive vice president, chairman and CEO, Ford Motor Credit Company, to take an idea and make it grow into a very successful organization.

Dan and Mike work on the veterans honor flight that flies World War II veterans to Washington, D.C ., twice a year to visit the Veteran’s War Memorial, which is sponsored by Ford Motor Company.  Dan has worked at job fairs and has been successful at helping veterans find work opportunities at Ford Motor Company.  He had also worked at getting veterans a discount when they purchase Ford products.  Together, Dan and Mike have put in countless hours to help our veterans and to further the Ford name.

The Ford Veteran’s Network would not be as strong and successful as it is today if not for Dan Duderstadt.  He’s given so much of himself to advance the Veterans Network.  He has spent countless hours away from his home and family to attend meetings and functions that would help the Veterans Network to grow. He’s worked hard and sacrificed a great deal because of his belief in our veterans and in Ford Motor Company.

Please join the Summit event and see if some of your favorite nominations are selected as Corporate Honorees. This year's event will be web-streamed live from World Headquarters in Dearborn, on Nov. 7  and will be led by our Group Vice President of Global Purchasing Tony Brown.   The award presenters will be program managers/job-share partners Julie Rocco and Julie Levine.

Mark your calendar and join us as we celebrate the deserving teams and individuals who truly…. GO FURTHER!
