*The Cleveland Diversity Council is sponsoring a collection to benefit the children of the mothers in the North East Pre-Release Women's Facility and the Hitchcock Center for Women.
Your $20 donation will allow a child to receive an Easter basket that will be given with a handwritten note from their mother, cultivating an amazing opportunity to nurture healing.

*Thank you again to the entire CEP Diversity Council and all those employees who participated in this year’s Adopt-a-Senior Program. After the gifts were collected, they were hand delivered to three local senior centers; Goodrich-Gannett Settlement House, The SARAH Adult Day Service Center, Harvard Senior Center.
In addition to bringing smiles to many of our area’s seniors through the gift of giving, CEP employee Agnes Parada brought her therapy dog to the senior Christmas parties.
“It's a powerful statement to the generosity and outpour of true human spirit displayed by this site,” said Elba Morales, Diversity Committee member. “The donated gifts are more than just that. They bring hope and recognition to an age set of people who are otherwise forgotten. It's our 11th year running and it's a vital part of the Site Diversity Council's efforts to keep diversity and tolerance in the limelight and active amongst ourselves and our local community. This effort is definitely something to be kept alive and something to be very proud about here on site and for Ford in general.”
Hi everyone,
Once again, I’ll be walking in the annual March for Babies to support the March of Dimes.
This year’s walk takes place Sunday, April 28th at Voinovich Bicentennial Park in downtown Cleveland. The event starts at 9:00am with registration and the walk starts at 10:00am.
While it’s true that Ford is a large corporate sponsor for the March, I personally have supported the March of Dimes for as long as I can remember.
The March of Dimes is a non-profit organization with the mission to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. To this end, the charity funds research to understand problems and discover answers, help moms have full-term pregnancies, and supports families when their baby needs help to survive and thrive. The thing I appreciate most about the MoD’s efforts is the broad range of research they support. Probably, without recognizing it, we’ve all been touched by outcomes of research sponsored through the MoD.
On Tuesday, February 5, I had the chance to meet the Centofanti Family, whose 7 year old daughter Nina is the 2013 National Ambassador. Nina was born at 31 weeks gestation at 2 lbs. and 15 oz. Today Nina is a healthy and energetic 7 year old who is a loving sister to big brother Nick, age 9 and little sister Mia, age 3.
Please join me on the walk, or sponsor me along the way. No pressure….hope you’ll consider helping. It’s easy: just click on the web link to sign up for the walk with the CEP1 team.
Thank you!
Regards,
Charlie Binger
