 Changan Ford Racing Wins the CTCC 2013 Manufacturer’s Championship and Driver’s title

SHANGHAI, China – The Changan Ford Racing team was once again crowned in this year’s 2013 China Touring China Championship (CTCC), winning its sixth championship in eight years.
 
“We are extremely proud of our team winning both the 2013 CTCC season’s Racing Team Championship and Racer’s Championship! We would like to express our deep appreciation to our four outstanding drivers and all of the members of our racing team. Because of their determination and hard work we have won an unprecedented six championships and given race fans and our customers something to cheer about.” said Marin Burela, president and CEO of Changan Ford after witnessing the team take home both the manufacturer’s championship and the driver’s title at the F1 circuit in Shanghai.
 
Changan Ford racers put on a stunning performance throughout the whole season, claiming the top two spots in the overall driver’s standing, and received the Manufacturer’s Championship at the final race in Shanghai. Andy Yan secured the driver’s title with an outstanding full season performance that earned him 67 points in the driver’s standing. This season’s win also marked Yan’s second driver’s championship in the CTCC race since 2011.
 
“My feeling about winning this one is different from my first win in 2011. There are ups and downs but I finally got it. I want to thank both the Changan Ford team and the CTCC for providing me with such a great platform.” said Yan after winning the final race in Shanghai.

Focus extends streak as best-Selling vehicle nameplate worldwide through first half of 2013. So far, It sales has exceeded 1.4 million units in China, and has been leading the mid-sized car market with its superb handling performance and advanced safety.
