ORDOS, China — The Changan Ford Racing Team maintained its position at top of the manufacturing leader board after a strong performance in the fourth round of the 2012 China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) at the Ordos International Circuit.

Jiang Tengyi and Andy Yan fought their way to second and third place, overcoming plenty of obstacles along the way – heavy downpours, poor visibility and carrying extra weight.
Sunday's race started in torrential rain, which provided a great opportunity for the new Focus racing cars to display their ability to navigate the wet track. Four Changan Ford racers led during the first few laps, however due to the worsening weather conditions, it became increasingly difficult to maintain their ideal pace throughout the race.
Fan Gaoxiang, the youngest racer in the Changan Ford Racing team, achieved the fastest lap time, and improved his position from 10th to fourth. Rainey He, unfortunately, was not able to finish the race due to vehicle problems.
The fifth round of the CTCC will kick off again in Ordos, Inner Mongolia on August 17. Changan Ford Racing Team leads the manufacturing score board with 30 points ahead of its closest rival, the Shanghai Volkswagen team.
