CHONGQING, China – The Changan Ford 2011 Dealership Service Contest kicked off on May 24 to see which dealerships offer the very best customer service in China.
Last year, Changan Ford's Dealership Service Contest received more than 6,500 entries. An estimated 8,000 service staff at 346 Ford dealerships across the country are expected to enter the competition this year. During the next five months, participants will compete to test employees’ knowledge about how to provide the very best in customer service.
The 2011 contest will hand out awards to employees in Changan Ford's expanded after-sales service system, with categories for: Claim Specialist, Customer Relationship Managing Specialist, Mechanical and Electric Technician, Components Specialist, Service Specialist. Two new categories have been added this year – Painting Technician and Sheetmetal Technician."This is the seventh year that Changan Ford is holding a comprehensive dealership service contest, a great company tradition. The contest enhances the quality of dealership service and customer satisfaction,” said Xing Gang, executive deputy general manager of Changan Ford Sales Company.
Xing added that this year Changan Ford will introduce a customer voting system to evaluate dealership service.
From June 13 to September 13, any Ford vehicle owner who comes to any of Ford’s dealerships in China for maintenance and repair can vote for dealer staff and specialists via mobile texting. Those who have earned top scores will be honored as “Best Service Ambassadors”.
The grand finale of the contest will take place in Chongqing this October, involving 180 staff from 20 dealerships.
