XIAMEN, China — Changan Ford Automobile (CAF), Ford’s joint venture in China, announced the launch of the locally-manufactured all-new Ford Kuga to the market on Jan. 22, ushering in a new era in the history of Ford SUVs in China.
With Chinese New Year approaching, CAF offered local SUV enthusiasts an opportunity for a double celebrating by also announcing the pre-sale price of the all-new EcoSport.
Equipped with Ford’s newest, most advanced 1.0L EcoBoost engine, the Ford global compact SUV will be offered in a pre-sale price range of 94,800 to 129,800 yuan (US$ approx. 15,200 to 20,810) .
Joining the exciting new SUV line-up with the imported Ford Edge and Explorer in China, the two CAF-made SUVs reflect Ford’s promise to bring 15 new vehicles to the market by 2015. The four SUVs, known as the Big Four, made their national debut at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show.
A series of dealer and media test drives will follow the launch of the All-new Ford Kuga.
