The 90th European Motor Show in Brussels, Belgium, has opened its doors to the press, ahead of its public opening on January 12, and Ford is presenting no less than nine Belgian premieres.
The star of the show is the Evos Concept, which debuted in Frankfurt last year. The sporty, four-door fastback indicates Ford’s new design direction. It stands alongside the B-MAX concept and four new Focus editions – Focus ST, Focus BEV, Focus 1.0-litre EcoBoost and the Focus 1.6-litre TDCi ECOnetic.
Also on the stand is the updated Fiesta ECOnetic, promising just 87g/km of CO2.
The all-new Ford Ranger, the first commercial vehicle to be built under the One Ford strategy, is also drawing crowds. Developed in Australia, it is produced in Thailand, South Africa and Argentina for sale in more than 180 markets around the world.
Last but not least is the iconic Transit, equipped with a new and more economical stage Euro V engine.
Around 600,000 car and motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to visit this year’s show, which runs until January 22.
