SÃO PAULO, Brazil - This week, Ford Brazil received a visit from some of its major global executives, who have been in the country for a series of meetings and also to attend the São Paulo International AutoShow, one of the most important automotive events in Latin America.
Jim Farley, group vice president, Global Marketing, Sales and Service; Elena Ford, director, Global Marketing; Frederiek Toney, group vice president, FCSD; and Eduardo Serrano, executive director, Latin America, attended Ford Brazil’s press conference, where the company revealed for the first time the new Fiesta Sedan. The redesigned premium compact was presented to about 1,000 journalists from Latin America and Europe on Oct. 22.
On Oct. 22, Ford also held a roundtable with Jim Farley, Elena Ford and Eduardo Serrano with Brazilian journalists and international news agencies to talk about the Ford’s launches and the importance of Brazil in the automaker's global strategy. Also at the meeting were Steven Armstrong, president, Ford Brazil, and Rogelio Golfarb, vice president, FSAO Corporate Affairs. The media return was excellent, especially the story broadcasted by Jornal Nacional, the leading Brazilian TV news. The global executives also used their time in the country to hold a series of meetings with their teams and visited the Sao Bernardo do Campo plant, where they attended a Town Hall with the Brazilian leadership.
