ATLANTA -- Ken Block will make his Ford debut this weekend in a new Fiesta race car at the Sno*Drift Rally (Jan. 29-30) in northeastern Lower Michigan, the first stop on the 2010 Rally America National Championship calendar.
Block, the 2005 Rally America Rookie of the Year and a three-time medalist at X Games, will pilot the Monster Ford Fiesta throughout the six-event Rally America season that culminates in mid-July at Bethel, Maine. He will also compete with his Fiesta in the X Games in Los Angeles this summer.
"I really like how nimble and small the Fiesta feels," said Block during a recent live chat on theFordStory.com. "It feels good at high speed, yet it turns on a dime. I feel I can have some great success with this car this year."
Block is also scheduled to drive a Ford Focus RS in the 2010 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), on a part-time basis this year, in hopes of driving the entire schedule in 2011.
