DEARBORN - “Our technicians see things you cannot” is the message to consumers in the Around the Wheel campaign.
Ford Export and Growth (E&G) and its dealers are working together to educate and remind customers to receive needed service while providing them with a Ford-funded discount on repairs. The third-quarter service drive sales event provides dealers not only with an opportunity to improve customer relationships but to increase parts and labor sales.
As part of the Real Deals Around the Wheel program, factory-trained service technicians will remove the wheels and inspect what’s behind them. The parts to be inspected are divided into three categories – brakes, ride control and steering and suspension – and are included in Ford’s Multi-Point Inspection Report. Regular use of the inspection report can help build trust and demonstrate the need for current and future services.
E&G dealers can advertise a 10 percent discount on parts, which will be funded by Ford. Customers can visit fordconsumer.com to print and/or receive an e-mail coupon. The site will be live Sept. 1. Web site content will be available in English, Arabic, Spanish, Korean and French.
Marketing assets are available in the E&G Toolbox on the FMC Dealer web site. In addition, advertising and merchandising kit are being shipped to all dealers. All creative files can be customized to fit individual dealers needs and can be used in newspaper and e-mail marketing as well as posters, banners, floor graphics and counter mats. E&G has also created a dvd for dealers that contains the creative files for ease of access.
Dealers can submit claims for reimbursement of the 10 percent discount within the FMC Dealer portal.
