DEARBORN -- The Ford Fiesta had a memorable debut at the X Games in 2009, winning gold and taking bronze in its first X Games rally competition. This year the Ford Fiesta will return to defend its title with an all-star four-man driver lineup at X Games 16 in Los Angeles, July 29 to Aug. 1. @Ford will be there to capture all of excitment and to ask the drivers your questions. Ken Block
Co-founder of DC Shoes and a three-time medalist at X Games, has cultivated a tremendous following among the action sports community with his Gymkhana videos on YouTube and his push-the-limits approach to rally racing. Block, the 2005 Rally America Rookie of the Year, partnered with Ford earlier this year and is running the Fiesta in Rally America and the Focus RS in the World Rally Championship (WRC).
Block proved that not only is the all-new Ford Fiesta fun to drive and easy to maneuver, but it is also reliably fast as he piloted the Monster World Rally Team Fiesta to victory at the 2010 Rally America 100 Acre Wood Rally. It marked the first win for Fiesta in a North American stage rally and the first for a Fiesta in Rally America competition.
Tanner Foust
ROCKSTAR Energy Drink driver Tanner Foust returns to X Games this year in the Ford Fiesta.
Foust took his race-prepared 2010 Fiesta five-door hatchback to a bronze medal finish last year, narrowly losing in the semifinal to eventual winner Kenny Brack. He has continued racing the Fiesta as he currently runs a limited schedule in European Rallycross with Andreas Eriksson and Olsbergs MSE. Foust is an accomplished driver, having won in a wide array of motorsport series and disciplines including X Games, rally, drift, ice racing and time attack. His career is highlighted with a track record of multiple podium placements and national championships.
Kenny Bräck
Born March 21, 1966 in Arvika, is a former Swedish race car driver. Bräck competed in Formula 3000, CART and Indy Racing League. 1999 Bräck won Indy 500. He also won the X Games Rally in 2009 and he became the first Swedish driver to win gold in the rally at the X Games.
In 2003, in the season's final race in the IRL series, 12 October at Texas Motor Speedway, Kenny suffered a very serious accident that almost cost him his life. Incredible 214 G was measured in the crash. Kenny's injuries included, inter alia, broken sternum, broken vertebra, broken femur and two broken ankles, nerve injuries and internal bleeding. Kenny spent 17 months in rehabilitation. In 2005 he made a sensational comeback in the Indy 500. Bräck impressed by qualifying with the fastest qualifying time in the entire starting field, with an average of 227.598 mph speed. He received the Scott Brayton Award "for his willpower.
Kenny now lives in England and he has retired from his active-IndyCar career. Bräck helps young Swedish racing drivers with their efforts, including Marcus Ericsson in GP2-series. He plays with his American rock band "Bräck" and also writes music with the band's singer Franc Aledia. Bräck has also been host for the interview series “Kenny & friends” in Swedish TV4.
Brian DeeganMotocross legend, off-road racer, team owner and businessman, “The General” Brian Deegan is ready to take on the world of NASCAR. At the age of 17, outfitted with only a credit card, dirt bike, and an old truck, Brian left his hometown of Omaha for Southern California with dreams of becoming the next big name in Motocross.
With 10 medals, Brian is the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in X Games history and is the only rider to compete in at least one event each year since the X Games’ inception. Along the way, Brian has overcome three near-death experiences, broken bones, a lost kidney, and a severely injured spleen to establish himself as one of the top talents and competitors in the sport.
Forever a Motocross icon, Brian is looking forward to continuing his domination in the 2010 X Games. Look for Brian to transfer his success in Motocross to four-wheel racing while bringing a new sense of energy, talent and excitement to the world of NASCAR.
