MANILA, Philippines — The all-new Ford Focus made its Philippine debut, setting a new standard in its segment. With its unmatched combination of smart technologies, outstanding fuel economy, expressive design, responsive performance, high levels of craftsmanship and occupant safety, the dynamic Ford Focus will go on sale in the Philippines in September.
The vehicle will be produced at Ford’s new USD 450-million, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Rayong, Thailand. A key element of the Ford product portfolio in the Philippines, the all-new Focus has been expanded to include the new high-series Titanium+ and Sport+ variants that offer high levels of convenience and comfort.
In preparation for the launch of the class-defining all-new Focus by Ford Philippines conducting a Focus Specialist Certification Program to select sales teams and consultants.
Powered by Ford Academy, a regional training program aimed to enhance dealership competence and capability, the Focus Specialist Certification Program is an intensive three-day training program designed to equip the Ford sales team with comprehensive product knowledge of the all-new Ford Focus including its segment-first smart technologies.
The program consists of lectures and workshops on product features and is conducted through a series of detailed feature discussions, role-playing, competitive product analysis, detailed basic technical operations and experiential test drives.
This will also be the first time that the training will involve iPads as sales and delivery tools, allowing the sales consultants to use applications specifically designed for the all-new Ford Focus. Focus Specialists also participated in a practical demonstration of Focus’ segment-first technologies – Active Park Assist and Active City Stop.
The all-new Focus is the next of the eight all-new One Ford global vehicles to be launched in the Philippines by mid-decade, helping to significantly expand Ford’s showroom lineup and introduce the brand to many new customer segments.
“The all-new Focus represents the strengths and benefits of our global One Ford strategy in serving our customers across the region and in the Philippines,” said Randy Krieger, president, Ford Group Philippines. “We’ve gone further in every aspect of this next-generation vehicle to give our customers quality, fuel efficiency, safety and smart technology beyond their expectations.”
“The Ford Focus has done it again. Before, it brought sharp styling and excellent handling in a family car. And now, it has brought class-leading connectivity and safety technology as well. Add brand-new engines and transmissions, and there’s no denying that the all-new Ford Focus is a winner,” said Uly Ang of the The Philippine Star.
“Compact cars are increasingly creeping into the neighbourhood where only premium cars used to reside. With Bluetooth, voice-command, SYNC, Active Park Assist, Active City Stop, BLIS, keyless entry, push start/stop button, Torque Vectoring Control and numerous other features, it doesn’t take much intelligence to realise what car is leading the movement. Yes, it’s the new Focus,” said Brian Afuang of the The Manila Times.
