JAKARTA, Indonesia — The all-new Ford Focus ended 2012 in Indonesia by adding yet another award to its collection - 'Best Innovative Smart Car' from Techlife, one of Indonesia’s leading information and communication technology publications.
Ford's success in integrating a wide array of class-leading technologies and innovative features into the all-new Focus was cited as being responsible for the special recognition from TechLife.
The 'Best Innovative Smart Car' recognizes the many beneficial innovative features equipping the all-new Focus, including the first-in-market Ford SYNC connectivity system, and first-in-segment Active Park Assist, Active City Stop, Blind Spot Information System and Active Grille Shutter.
"In the digital era, technologies have become an integral part of our lives," remarked Yusuf Mars, editor-in-chief, TechLife, opening the ceremony. "The annual TechLife Innovation Award is a token of our appreciation for innovative breakthroughs that are benefiting our lives."
"The all-new Focus is packed with smart technologies that help it to significantly raise the bar in the compact segment, and we’re proud that it has been recognized by Techlife for its innovative features," commented Lea Kartika Indra, communication manager, Ford Motor Indonesia, receiving the accolade.
In selecting the nominee for the awards, the editorial staff tested and reviewed products launched in 2012. The list of nominees was then published in the magazine for polling, with approximately 1,500 subscribers participated in the vote.
"The TechLife Innovative Award is our highest appreciation for innovation. We hope the award will further encourage more creativity and innovative breakthroughs in Indonesia," said Abu Supardi, CEO, TechLife.
