MUMBAI, India — The India edition of @Ford APA magazine has been awarded the ‘Best International In-house Magazine’ by the prestigious Shailaja Nair Foundation at India’s 2012 ICE Awards.
@Ford was nominated in the “Best International In-House Magazine Category,” along with the house magazines of Cathay Pacific and GAC. There were 21 categories and more than 680 entries in total.
The awards recognise in-house communications excellence.
Deeptie Sethi, head of communications, Ford India, accepted the award from the chief of the jury, Bharat Debolkar, at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai on June 22, where the Governor of Maharashtra, K. Shankranarayan, was the chief guest.
“We are delighted to learn that our efforts to reach out to our hardworking employees and to broadcast their stories of achievement have found appreciation across the industry,” Sethi said.
“We would also like to see this as a great One Ford initiative wherein all our employees in various regions get to learn of latest developments at the Blue Oval.”
The jury cited the easy-to-read style and great graphics of the magazine as the criteria behind its selection.
More than 6,000 copies of the India edition of @Ford APA are circulated among Ford India Private Limited employees, other offices and dealerships to promote Ford’s ongoing operations and expansion in India, its marketing campaigns and events, stories on employees and their efforts in ‘Going Further.’ People also download the magazine from the Ford web site.
There are 10 editions of @Ford APA published in the region, in six languages.
