2014 Lincoln MKZ Named a Best Value by USAA

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

DEARBORN, Mich. – USAA, a leading financial services provider to the U.S. military community and their families, recently named the 2014 Lincoln MKZ to its fourth-annual Best Value vehicles list, which identifies the top 2014 vehicles in their respective categories based on the proprietary USAA Preferred vehicle rating system.

The 2014 Lincoln MKZ is the top vehicle in the Midsize Luxury category, recognized for offering fuel efficiency and superior safety.

Best Value automobiles offer the best financial value of all vehicles USAA evaluates as part of a broader rating system called USAA Preferred, which uses quantitative data to evaluate vehicles’ safety, reliability and affordability, among other key factors. A total of 24 vehicles are currently designated as USAA Preferred vehicles, and the Best Value list represents the top-rated vehicles in each category.

“Enabling our military and their families the ability to experience the premium aspects of the MKZ is an honor,” said Matt VanDyke, director, global Lincoln. “We are so encouraged the attributes of the Lincoln MKZ are resonating with our customers as we continue to reinvent our brand by providing the highest level of quality, design and personal service.”

The front-wheel drive version of the 2014 Lincoln MKZ equipped with the standard 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine has EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. It received a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

“Every 2014 Best Value vehicle delivers on factors our members find most important, and we hope that highlighting these vehicles can make car shopping a better experience for them,” said Steve Thompson, the vice president responsible for the USAA Car Buying Service. “Even with the IIHS’ stricter crash safety requirements, the 2014 Lincoln MKZ was able to rise to the top of the Midsize Luxury category.”
