MELBOURNE, Australia – Visitors to the Ford stand at the Australian International Motor Show will be greeted by the wonderful experience of Ford's great new products, smart technologies and exciting interactive displays.
Apart from the headline acts like the stylish new Ford Ranger Wildtrak and Ford Focus, the Ford stand boasts a host of interactive displays for the whole family.
Ford has also flown out from the United States one of the world's greatest magicians, Bill Malone, who will present some astonishing, entertaining and interactive magic that relates directly back to the Ford Motor Company.
Bill has worked at numerous Ford events around the world, including many of the leading global auto shows, and was a hit with showgoers at last year's Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.
Apart from Malone, the Ford stand is designed to involve the whole family. There are several "touch tables" where visitors can interact and learn about Ford's products and new technologies.
EcoBoost touch table
The EcoBoost touch table includes an interactive component that allows showgoers to feel the force and power of turbocharging. The display will also include a film component, which illustrates how EcoBoost increases fuel economy with its unique direct-injection system.
ECOnetic touch table
At the ECOnetic display, guests will be able to learn about how the aerodynamic design of vehicles enhances the fuel efficiency of Ford’s vehicles along with the ECOnetic technologies, like low resistance tyres and driver information systems help Ford’s customers conserve fuel.
3D quality theatre
The Drive Quality Zone features a 3D interactive station that showcases the "virtual" technologies Ford uses in the design and engineering of its vehicles. The public can watch a 3D movie covering ergonomics, sight lines and cabin environmental aspects. 3D goggles will allow showgoers to navigate a virtual car interior under the guidance of a Ford representative.
Slot car challenge
The public can select their very own Ford vehicle and challenge each other in a timed race around the track. The game has been used at other Ford events and attracts fans of all ages.
The All-New Ranger has been tested throughout the world and in this state-of-the-art simulator visitors can discover smart technologies such as Trailer Sway Control which enhances safety when towing.
