Nigerian Orphans Benefit from GWOC Activities

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

LAGOS, Nigeria – Children living at the Arrows of God Orphanage were the focus of Global Week of Caring events sponsored by Ford dealer partner Coscharis Motors.

Throughout the week of Sept. 16, volunteers from the dealership and the orphanage joined forces for a fund-raising drive and an awareness campaign to draw attention to the orphanage and the approximately 200 children who live there.

Along with contributions from the fund raiser, Coscharis donated rice, bottled water and bottled yogurt drinks to the orphanage.

Residents of the Arrows of God Orphanage range in age from newborn to 22 years. The orphanage cares for children from the day they are born until they have finished university. The orphanage’s stated mission is to help reduce poverty, suffering and distress inflicted on children as a result of abandonment, death or lack of parental care.

“There are many children in need of assistance and we are grateful to have a facility such as Arrows of God to care for them,” says Coscharis Motors Sales Manager Justin Ngini. “It’s an honor to be able to help them fulfill their mission to help these children.”

This was the fourth time Coscharis has participated in Global Week of Caring activities.
