Cub Scouts Go Green with Can Recycling Drive

LOUISVILLE - Last year, our Cub Scout Pack 305 was looking for a fundraiser and some educational programs. We decided to start an aluminum can drive.  We fabricated a storage trailer, had a painting party, and parked the trailer outside of Our Savior Lutheran Church and School. 

Going Further in South Africa

PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa - Installation work was planned at the Struandale Engine Plant in Port Elizabeth, South Africa for the Global Puma Engine program to improve the robustness of the equipment.  The installation was originally planned for the first two weeks of December 2011, however due to production scheduling the work had to be postponed to occur during the week between Christmas and New Years.

DEARBORN – Jan. 17, 2012 is a day that Dearborn Engine Plant Area Manager Tom McWilliams won’t soon forget – both for the serious problem he faced at the plant that day and for the unexpected way that it was solved.
It was the beginning of the midnight shift at the Dearborn Engine Plant.  A crucial component of the machinery used to make crankshafts malfunctioned and production had to shut down. To make matters worse, the part – a complex circuit board – was now obsolete and couldn’t be found anywhere.  The supplier didn’t even make it anymore.
