DEARBORN - For her exceptional work and contributions at Ford Motor Company, Jackie Shuk, Product Development Chief Engineer for North American VEV & Global Test & Investments, was recently honored as one of WJR’s “Women Who Lead” for 2012.
Spotlighting women in the work force, “Women Who Lead” recognized 12 women in the Great Lakes area for making a difference in their field.
In her interview with WJR’s Ann Thomas, Shuk said that she loves her job and believes it's important to work hard with passion in order to succeed.
“I’m highly honored,” she said, commenting on her recognition. “I’m a mother of two daughters and I think this kind of event is good for all women to see all of the opportunities there are these days. I’ve been in testing for over 10 years now there are not many women.”
Starting off as a Ford College Graduate, Shuk has been a member of the Ford team for 22 years where she’s made her way from planning, finance, engineering, global product testing and more. No matter the job, she’s always looking for and driving efficiencies through testing and continuous improvements.
“I’m proud of the fact that we’re developing and sustaining a diverse work force with real strong strength to be recognized that we’re making that improvements and development,” she said. “There’s no way I could’ve achieved these accomplishments without an incredibly strong team no one person can get an award like this on their own it takes a strong team backing you up.”
