​I am an ambassador with Starfish, and I help coordinate a yearly event helping underprivileged children in the Starfish Early Head Start program stay warm during the winter as well as encourage literacy. 

I seek volunteers each year to help make sure that all 24 children (ages birth – three years old) in the Starfish Early Head Start program in Inkster are provided with hats, mittens and a book each November/December.

With each new assignment, I have introduced more and more co-workers to the volunteer opportunities at Starfish. 

Starfish has a special place in my heart as I volunteer to help in the children’s garden along with this winter clothing drive.

We make a difference in not only these children’s lives, but in our lives too.
