OAKVILLE – Ford of Canada, along with the local Alberta Ford dealers, are working to provide volunteers, needed supplies, cash donations and vehicle rebates to assist in the flood relief efforts in southern Alberta.
Ford Motor Company Fund has matched a donation made by the Alberta Dealers Association for a total contribution of $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross.
In addition, Ford dealers in Alberta are providing volunteers as well as collecting donations and supplies for surrounding communities. Several Ford F-Series trucks have been given to deliver these provisions to the areas most affected by the flooding.
“We have seen how the people of Alberta and Canadians from across the country have pulled together to help those who have been affected by the severe flooding,” said Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. “At Ford, we wanted to offer our support as well, and let the people of southern Alberta know that our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.”
As communities work to recover, Ford of Canada, in partnership with the Alberta Ford Dealer Association and its dealer members, is offering additional help to those whose vehicles were lost or damaged in the floods through a $1,000 “Relief Rebate.” The rebate will be offered on both purchases and leases of eligible Ford vehicles, and is open to those with insurance claims on vehicles lost due to the flooding. Further details are available at Alberta Ford dealers.
Ford Credit Canada customers who may not have lost their vehicles but were affected by the flood in other ways may be able to delay one or two monthly payments through the company’s disaster relief program. More information on this program is available at fordcredit.ca.
