AGANA, Guam – Ford Motor Company and long-time dealer partner Triple J Automotive are making a world of difference during the ninth annual Ford Global Week of Caring. Thirty-five Triple J employees donated their time to repaint and clean up the Guam Trankilidat Retirement Home.

“Our goal was to clean up, spruce up and cheer up the home for its 200 residents,” said Jay Jones, vice president, Triple J Automotive. “Our work doesn’t stop here, though. We pledge our continuing support to communities in Guam and will continue to look for how, where and when Ford and Triple J can contribute.”

“This year, employees here in Guam and across the region have gone further, hand-in-hand with dealers and customers, to help build a better world and make a difference in our communities,” said SC Ahn, Dealer Operations manager, Asia Pacific, Ford Export and Growth. “The many examples of volunteer projects are truly inspiring and aptly demonstrate the compassionate and giving character that is central to the Ford DNA.”

For the past eight years, thousands of Ford employees on six continents have joined together to power a new engine of support to benefit people in local communities.

“Ford’s legacy of caring goes back to the company’s founding more than 110 years ago, and it is gratifying to see this generation of employees embrace that history with their eyes on the future,” said Ahn. “We are One Ford in any language and proud of our contributions to creating a better world.”

In conjunction with this year’s Global Week of Caring, thousands of employees in Guam and across the Asia Pacific region are working on nearly 100 projects ranging from organizing blood drives to refurbishing retirement homes.
