Year 9 students at The Appleton School have been busy brushing up on their interview skills to ensure they are best placed to succeed in the highly competitive job market. Eight Ford volunteers gave up their time to help students prepare for their future.
Students had to prepare a CV and an Application Form, which was then used as the basis for a 30 minute interview with one of the volunteers.
This gave students the opportunity to practice their general interview skills and the feedback they received will provide an excellent basis to prepare them for future college and/or job interviews.
The students had to wear very smart business attire, appropriate for an interview and were extremely nervous.
“I was really impressed by the students I interviewed and found the whole experience to be very rewarding. The knowledge, along with the enthusiasm from some of the students were fantastic,” said Nicola Gregory, Events, Community and Education, Ford Motor Company.
