Ford Silverton Plant Honors Employees with Long Service Awards

DATE: Will be calculated from "Release Start Date" field.

PRETORIA, South Africa - A group of employees at the Silverton Assembly Plant, Ford South Africa, were honored recently with Long Service Awards.

The Long Service Awards program, coordinated and implemented by Human Resources, is designed to show appreciation and gratitude to employees who have worked for Ford for 10 years or more.  Award recipients receive a certificate and a financial reward proportional to the number of years worked. Many of the employees featured in the accompanying photo have served the company for 35 years.

The Manufacturing team at the Silverton Assembly Plant takes the Awards a step further by having management hand out the certificates, ensuring that the employees receive public recognition from the senior leadership team at Ford.

Ford South Africa also hosts an annual Long Service Award ceremony for people who have been with the company for more than 25 years.  It includes a formal dinner and families are invited to share in the honor.
