DEARBORN – Employees of Ford Motor Company are known for their generosity, constantly offering to help whenever and wherever help is needed through fundraising and volunteer work.
One organization Ford employees regularly assist is the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and in 2013 Ford employee donations exceeded 2012 giving by more than $60,000.
To share his thanks to everyone involved in assisting the MS Society effort in particular, Raj Nair, group vice president, Global Product Development, Ford Motor Company, provided the note below:
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your generous contributions in supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Society in 2013. Ford Motor Company has earned the title of #1 Corporate Sponsor in Michigan and we have been recognized for the Circle of Distinction National Award. We have raised over $1.8M to date with all of your contributions.
Thanks to your generous support, the cross functional teams in the PDC buildings have supported $379,551 in donations to the MS Society for 2013CY. This is a $60,367 increase over 2012CY. Events like Barrett Jackson Cobra Jet Auction, Golf, Bike MS, Walk MS, MuckFest MS, jeans, bake sales and holiday extravaganzas have enabled us to raise this extraordinary amount of money.
We appreciate the many people that helped support these events through ticket sales, event setup, and volunteering. We could not have done it without you! This is another great example of the One Ford team going further to help others in need.
