The following note was directed to leadership here at Ford Motor Company.
I recently took delivery of my fifteenth Ford vehicle. I currently have eight ford vehicles parked in my driveway. I am, as they say, a heavy consumer of your product. For your reference my new truck is a 2012 F-250 crew cab, diesel, Lariat.
I want to compliment a factory employee and my local dealership on the handling of a problem with the delivery of my new truck.
The factory lost my new truck for two months, after production and before loading for rail transport the truck was inadvertently sent to a factory up fitter, where it sat for almost two months. The up fitter was confused, as no action on the part of the up fitter was required.
My local dealership, Sunrise Ford of Fontana, Calif., tried repeatedly to find and deliver my new truck.
Not until Cory Belonzi, Ford factory rep and Bobby Williams from Sunrise got involved was the truck found, shipped and delivered. And it was delivered within minutes of the transporter arriving at the dealership.
When the error was discovered, I was personally called by Cory and Bobby about the problem. Cory took full responsibility and apologized for the error.
Almost no one takes responsibility for mistakes these days – and that takes courage. I was impressed by Cory’s apologetic message and promise to correct the error. Bobby tells me that he has never before seen this situation, where the factory misplaces a truck.
I want to explain why I have eight fords in my driveway: 2012 F-250 crew cab diesel, 2011 Raptor crew cab, 2011 Escape, 2010 Raptor super cab, 2009 Focus, 2009 Focus (two of them, not a re-print), 2008 Edge, 2001 F-250 crew cab. (Further, I recently bought and sold a 2008 F-250 and a 2011 F-250).
The reason is Bobby Williams and Sunrise Ford make it a pleasure to buy new cars: no car dealer games, great prices, great service. Bobby and the ownership, James Bruncati, Dan Bruncati, Tony Bruncati, are an absolute pleasure to do business with.
Please register my appreciation of these five individuals; Bobby, Cory and the Bruncati’s, they represent your brand very well and deserve acknowledgement.
