 Exposing Investors to New Ford Products

​Last summer I had the privilege of watching my son graduate from the U.S. Marines Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Va. 

While there I made the most of an opportunity to bring the latest and greatest Ford products to an investment service that has recommended Ford to their subscibers. 

I am a frequent contributor to the bulletin boards of a well-known investment site called the Motley Fool, which happens to be headquartered a short distance away.

At that time, Ford had recently introduced two exciting new products – the 2012 Focus and Explorer.  My supervisor, Greg Carlson generously offerred up his new Explorer, which I drove from Michigan.  I also arranged with the local Ford dealer in Alexandria (Ourisman Ford) to have the new Focus taken to the Motley Fool headquarters for analysts to see and drive.  They were able to test some of the latest Ford technology including active park assist.

Additionally, I thought they might enjoy a reminder of Ford to adorn their offices. So I had a print framed of the Saturday Evening Post graphic that hangs in Mr.  Mulally's office – "Opening the Highways to All Mankind."  I was also lucky enough to have Mr. Mulally sign the print for them.
