DUBAI, UAE – For the first time, America’s favourite van will be seen on Dubai’s roads as part of the Dubai government’s fleet of ambulances.
Al Tayer Motors, Ford’s importer-dealer in the United Arab Emirates, delivered five 2014 Ford E-350 and one F-450 Super Duty vehicles, converted to state-of-the-art ambulances, to the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS).The E-350s were converted into ambulances by Horton Emergency Vehicles in Ohio.
Boasting a 5.4L Triton V8 engine with four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, the Ford E-350 also carries Ford’s key standard safety features such Advance Trac® with Roll Stability Control, second-generation driver and passenger airbags and safety seat belts.
