DEARBORN - In previous years, Dearborn Tool and Die (DTD) has been a huge supporter of the Toys for Tots Foundation.
The foundation collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes the toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children as a message of hope. This message resonates with the employees at DTD and has driven the team to find new ideas to surpass the amount of contributions year over year.
This year, DTD decided to draw up extra donations by having employees dress up as a reindeer by the Rouge Complex gates and collect donations. This creative way to raise money for toys paid off and in one day they raised over $270. The plant with fewer than 300 employees raised $2200 for the Toys for Tots program. Below are some veterans and Marines from the Toys for Tots program picking up all the toys from employees who helped contribute to this successful fundraising initiative.
