Dagenham South Estate employees Go Further to help their local community have an enjoyable Easter. Following an appeal organised by employees, Dagenham Engine Plant and Transport Operations donated over 850 Easter Eggs which were handed out to local charities and two children's wards in local community hospitals.
"Our employees Go Further everyday, building strong links with the local community and supporting charity initiatives” said Tracey Gardener, Recruitment Officer for the Dagenham South Estate. "Our Easter Egg appeal embodied the Dagenham family spirit once again, with generous donations from employees and our union."
Volunteers dropped off the eggs to the charity First Steps, a pre-school for children with special needs, the Tropical children's ward in Queen’s Hospital, Romford, the Clover children's ward in King George’s Hospital, Goodmayes and a family refuge centre.
Lynn Clark from Queen’s Hospital commented, "We are so grateful to all the employees at Ford Dagenham. The eggs have put a smile on all of the children's faces. A big thank you to everyone who donated, it really does make a difference to the children."
