SON LA, Vietnam — The all-new Ford Ranger demonstrated its powerful engine and off-road capability during a charity drive to deliver food, clothing, and school supplies for local students in three mountainous communities in Vietnam’s northern Son La province.
Ford employee volunteers were joined by 10 automotive journalists for the charity drive to help students in the village of Moc Chau in Son La.
Recently launched in Vietnam, the all-new Ranger was ideally suited to tackle the challenging terrain and mountainous roads leading to Moc Chau.
Two Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 MT models allowed the team easy access to the village to deliver gifts and equipment to three kindergarten and primary schools. .
After reaching Moc Chau, the volunteers unloaded packages of supplies and handed gifts directly to local students.
In spite of a steady rain on the day, the volunteers also set up a new playground equipped with swings, slides and seesaws around the schools.
The Moc Chau charity trip is one of Ford Vietnam's annual activities for the community.
